How Attention generated $1.2M in pipeline in four months with signal-based outbound

Attention, the AI platform for revenue teams, worked with HGP's Loic Jeanjean on its climb from $1M to $10M in ARR. One workstream, a signal-based outbound program built with Attention's VP Growth, generated $1.2M in pipeline in four months.

At a glance

  • Client: Attention (SalesTech)
  • Engagement: Began in 2024
  • HGP advisors: Loic Jeanjean: Marketing and growth advisor (then an HGP partner; now alumni)
  • Focus areas: Website overhaul, Outbound, Customer marketing, Partnerships, Sales

The numbers

  • $1.2M pipeline generated in 4 months by the outbound program (Attention's CEO and VP Growth, HGP Playbooks, Oct 2024)
  • $1M → $10M ARR journey HGP supported (Anis Bennaceur, Co-Founder & CEO, Attention)
  • 10x revenue increase in 2024 (Attention, Series A announcement)
  • 4x ARR growth year over year, June 2026 (Attention, Series B announcement)

The situation

Attention was founded at the end of 2021 by Anis Bennaceur (CEO) and Matthias Wickenburg (CTO) and is based in New York. It builds AI for revenue teams: software that learns from sales conversations, fills in the CRM after calls and acts on pipeline. A March 2026 Clef de voûte episode with Bennaceur reports that the company reached $1M in ARR in ten months.

The next stage, from $1M to $10M in ARR, needed what Bennaceur calls "a scaleable growth engine": a rebuilt website, sharper marketing, and a repeatable way to create pipeline beyond inbound.

What Attention did, with HGP's help

  • Website and marketing: Loic Jeanjean, then an HGP partner, helped Attention overhaul its website, refine its marketing and apply best practices that, in Bennaceur's words, "derisk our journey".
  • Targeting before tools: The team defined its ICP with one to three personas per role and ran one persona per campaign, starting with the economic buyer (VP Sales or Revenue). Loic: "I recommend to focus on one persona per campaign — it enables you to be more targeted in your approach, making your tests more effective."
  • Market sizing and scoring: TAM and SAM were assessed in Apollo.io's Data Health Center across startup, mid-market and enterprise segments. Accounts were imported into Cargo to be enriched, scored and tiered, with Ocean.io used to find lookalikes of Attention's best customers.
  • Signals that time the outreach: Examples from the program: a 20% increase in SDR hires over the last six months, which flagged accounts with a higher fit, and champions joining key accounts.
  • Multi-channel sequences: Prioritized accounts went into La Growth Machine or Instantly (with domain warm-up), with short follow-ups, Slack alerts on key replies and Sendoso gifts for the highest-value prospects.
  • Two-week sprints: Messaging was re-evaluated every couple of weeks, or as soon as an experiment reached statistically significant volume.

Results

Attention's playbook, co-written with HGP, says the campaigns generated $1.2M in pipeline in four months, built on simple tools: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clearbit, Apollo.io, Cargo and Instantly. Bennaceur describes HGP as "a key unlock" on the journey from $1M to $10M in ARR.

For context, Attention reported a 10x revenue increase in 2024, when it raised a $14M Series A led by Alven. At its $30M Series B, led by RTP Global in June 2026, it reported ARR up 4x year over year and more than 500 customers. These are Attention's figures.

What other teams can take from it

  • One persona per campaign: Narrow targeting makes each test readable; start with the economic buyer.
  • Use hiring signals: A surge in SDR hires is a strong buying signal for sales tooling; job changes surface warm champions.
  • Mix digital and physical: Automate the sequence, but send something tangible to the accounts that matter most.
  • Review on a fixed cadence: Two-week sprints keep messaging fresh without overreacting to small samples.

"Hypergrowth has been a key unlock on our journey from $1m to $10m in ARR, showing us how to build a scaleable growth engine: they helped us overhaul our website, refine our marketing, and leverage best practices and derisk our journey."
